A winch without the right mounting plate is a heavy box of steel. The plate is made for a specific year and version — Amarok 2009–2016 and Amarok from 2016 are two different parts, and a 2023 Ranger Raptor 2.0 with ACC is a third. So we start with the vehicle.

A winch is a load on the electrical system. At full pull it draws several hundred amps. On an older vehicle or a tired battery that is worth checking during fitting — we do it as standard.
